HOUSEKEEPER – HOLLAND PARK

Bespoke Britannia has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper to help run a private household based in Holland Park. We are looking for a skilled Housekeeper who has flexibility to meet the demands of a busy household, plus overseas travel during the summer. You will be working closely with a team of staff who support a large family home. This is a great opportunity to join a well established team within a great private residence.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • The role will include cleaning and supporting in the smooth running of the residence, providing an exceptional service for the family and guests.
  • Must be comfortable working around children and the family dogs.
  • To be able follow the instructions provided by the principals/guests/management and report to Head Housekeeper or Lead Housekeeper and in their absence to the team
  • General duties include but are not limited to cleaning, washing, ironing, hoovering and dusting, changing bedding and laundry.
  • Ensuring that the correct products are used for cleaning, maintenance of antique furniture and other delicate materials.
  • Wardrobe Management and Organising – Managing all day-to-day items and a high-end shoe collection.
  • Trip planning and packing/unpacking for the principals.
  • Responding to any other ad hoc duties as required by the family – a high level of cooperation and flexibility is required.

Requirements:

    • You must have been working in a similar role within a large private household, and have a good understanding of the processes.
    • You must have a clear understanding of timescales and be proactive on ensuring all tasks are competed.
    • Fluent in English and strong communication skills are essential to this role as you will be working as part of a team.
    • We are looking for someone that is self-motivated, and has the ability to manage their own workload. Also you must have experience dealing with a busy household including contractors.
    • You will need to be discreet, professional and can use your own initiative.
    • We are looking for someone with the flexibility to travel as and when the client requires. Food and accommodation will be provided when travel is required.

Package

  • The client is offering a long-term PAYE role for the right candidate, £45,000DOE. Please note this is a live out role.
  • 5 days over 7 – Hours are typically 7am – 9pm – on a rotation of an early, middle, and late shift pattern.
  • Holiday 20 days per year plus bank holidays.
  • Flexibility to travel with TOIL, when travelling with the family accommodation and food is provided.
  • Workplace pension scheme is available.
