A warm and discreet private family is seeking an accomplished Domestic Couple to join their household in the Bahamas. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-established couple who are confident working together as a team and who take genuine pride in maintaining a beautiful home and providing thoughtful, unobtrusive service.

The successful couple will be comfortable working within a private family environment, taking responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the residence and supporting the family wherever required.

This is a hands-on position for a couple who are naturally proactive, flexible and service-oriented, with the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider household team.

 

job role:

Household & Housekeeping

  • Maintain the residence to an exceptionally high standard
  • Undertake daily housekeeping and ensure all rooms are consistently clean, tidy and beautifully presented
  • Care for bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and guest spaces
  • Make and change beds and maintain household linen
  • Undertake laundry, ironing and wardrobe care where required
  • Ensure household supplies and amenities are well stocked
  • Prepare the property for family arrivals and departures
  • Assist with guest preparation and entertaining
  • Maintain a calm, discreet presence within the family home

General Household Support

  • Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the property
  • Anticipate the family’s needs and respond proactively
  • Liaise with other household staff where required
  • Report maintenance or household issues promptly
  • Assist with deliveries, suppliers and contractors as appropriate
  • Help ensure the property remains organised, presentable and fully operational
  • Be flexible in supporting the family with additional household requirements

Driving & Errands

  • Use the household vehicle for local errands and household requirements
  • Assist with shopping and purchasing household provisions
  • Collect deliveries and liaise with local suppliers when required
  • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, presentable and well maintained
  • Provide discreet and professional assistance to the family when driving is required

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Domestic Couple within a private household, villa, yacht or luxury hospitality environment together for at least 5 years.
  • Strong housekeeping experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation
  • Naturally proactive and able to anticipate requirements
  • Flexible and willing to turn a hand to different tasks
  • Discreet, trustworthy and respectful of family privacy
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider household team
  • Excellent personal presentation and professional manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent references and a clean background check
  • Valid passports and the right to work in the Bahamas

Desirable REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working in the Bahamas or Caribbean
  • Experience within a UHNW private household
  • Driving experience and clean driving records
  • Experience caring for fine furnishings, delicate fabrics and luxury finishes
  • Experience supporting private entertaining and house guests
  • Basic maintenance or gardening skills would be advantageous
  • Culinary or service experience would be welcomed

Salary: $4,000 net per month each
