We are seeking an experienced and professional Private Head Housekeeper to join a welcoming private household. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping. The role requires a hands-on approach across all areas of household care, alongside the ability to manage daily tasks independently while working as part of a supportive household team. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, flexible, and experienced in caring for fine fabrics and maintaining a beautifully presented home

JOb ROle

  • Carry out a wide range of hands-on housekeeping duties including detailed cleaning, laundry, and ironing

  • Maintain exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the home

  • Provide specialist care for fine fabrics, delicate garments, and high-quality household linens

  • Manage and organise laundry processes including washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe care

  • Take primary responsibility for the day-to-day housekeeping of the property

  • Plan and manage your own daily schedule to ensure all housekeeping tasks are completed efficiently

  • Work collaboratively within a household team while maintaining sole responsibility for housekeeping duties

  • Coordinate with other staff members when additional ad hoc support is required

  • Adapt to changing household needs and remain flexible to last-minute requests or schedule adjustments

  • Ensure the home remains a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment at all times

  • Work comfortably in a household with pets and ensure pet-friendly cleaning practices where necessary

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a private housekeeper in a high-standard household

  • Highly skilled in all aspects of housekeeping including cleaning, laundry, and ironing

  • Strong experience in the care and maintenance of fine fabrics and delicate garments

  • Ability to manage your own diary, prioritise tasks, and work independently

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing household needs and last-minute requests

  • Comfortable working as part of a team while maintaining sole responsibility for housekeeping

  • Pet-friendly and comfortable working in a household with animal

  • We are looking for someone with at least 5 years industry experience 3 of which need to be with the same client.

 

Package

  • Hours – Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm

  • Competitive salary depending on experience £55,000

  • Accommodation will not be provided, so you must live within a commutable distance of GU5

We are looking for candidates who are reliable, hardworking, and have a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role, and a strong work ethic.
